RasPi Backpack– More prizes every day: USB hub and Pi Plate!

 Day1

Win a Raspberry Pi backpack full of Raspberry Pi stuff from Adafruit and friends! In celebration of the Raspberry Pi hackerspace tour. Adafruit (and others, list coming soon!) is going to stuff this giant Raspberry Pi-looking back pack filled with awesome electronics and more.

Each day check back to see all the new prizes!

How can you win? We’re going to give this away to someone at the NYC Resistor event on September 19th. If you’re going to the event you need to show up with a cool project made with a Raspberry Pi in some way. Ladyada and Becky will be pick a winner, so make sure you show up with something really cool that shows what you can do with a Pi, looking for ideas? Check out tutorials and Pi day (Fridays) here.

If no one shows up with a great project worthy of such a bag, we’ll give it away online to one lucky person online who is posting up amazing Raspberry Pi projects that catch our attention.

Every day we’ll post up about the new items added to the bag! Today we’re adding:

Here’s more about the tour!

Raspberry Pi Foundation US Hackspace Tour | Raspberry Pi. Liz writes -

Rob Bishop is one of the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s developers and a super-enthusiastic tech-evangelist type. He’s volunteered to go visit a number of hackspaces in the US in a sort of Regency Grand Tour style (only with aeroplanes and a backpack full of computers) to spread the word about Raspberry Pi and to give some hands-on workshops to help kickstart your projects.

The events at each hackspace will consist of an informal talk, Q&A session, demo and hands-on workshop. He’s also going to run a show-and-tell session to allow you guys to come and share your projects with rest of the community and he’ll award prizes on behalf of the Foundation for the best project at each event; we’re also organising some small giveaways. And yes, we will be selling Raspberry Pi’s on site! Eben and I are hoping that we might be able to join him at one or two of the venues too; watch this space.

  1. Don’t take this the wrong way but that backpack looks like a Horta from ST:TOS ep “Devil in the Dark” (see pic at wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devil_in_the_Dark )
