Instructables user blhack posted up this guide to laser-cutting lace into a t-shirt (ala Diana Eng) — that’s his sister sporting the self-cauterizing cotton/poly blend tee.

    We tried it last year at one of our Laser Cutter classes with pretty good results …

    The source image is an E8 diagram from Garrett Lisi’s Exceptionally Simple Theory of Everything (http://www.ted.com/talks/garrett_lisi_on_his_theory_of_everything.html) It also made its rounds at Maker Faire 2012 this year … worn by the same model (Garrett’s long time girl friend Crystal Jean).
