This is of interest to beginner digital scope users too: it’s easy to assume that the frequency figure given by your DSO is accurate, but there are lots of reasons why it can be off. There may also be times that you want to measure the frequency of a signal riding on top of another, more prominent signal, so this is a valuable skill to have.
