They’re likely using wireless + DMX to control the EL wire on the suits. The patterns are too complex for manual control. Wrecking Crew Orchestra is actually a Japanese crew out of Osaka that is an aggregation of alot of the really good crews in the area. Some of the ones that I always admired were Electric Trouble and Style of Old School. Nice to see that they’re integrating technology to mix up the dancing. This is where dance needs to head. I’m working on a similar EL project with a dance crew in the US. Not sure how it’ll turn out, but should be interesting.
Hi Brian. Wrecking Crew Orchestra is a hip hop dance collaborative formed of multiple hip hop crews. They span the range from locking, b-boying (aka breakdancing), wacking/punking, and new school hip hop. It’s not arguably hip hop. It is hip hop. You can google some of the dance crews that make up WCO (Electric Trouble, Style of Old School) to see them in full view.
