Hack your Hakko FX-888 Soldering Iron!

Dave got fed up not knowing if his Hakko FX-888 iron was left on or not. So hacked the LED to toggle RED/GREEN, so it’s always on.

  1. Musta been reading my mind!

Great iron, crappy LED. I’m always leaving the stupid thing ON because it’s so dim (or my eyeballs are too ancient, or both)

(testament to great tips- haven’t burned one up yet)

I’m gonna try it out myself. Thanks!

  2. My old 92something has a light up toggle on it. Missed it HEAPS on the newer one.
