Open Sourcing the Engineering Process: Amanda Wozniak @ 28C3

It’s true that I posted the video of the Open Hardware Summit version of this talk back in September, but that was shot with my Flip video and as a result you couldn’t always read the beautiful slides. The video production here is a lot better — meanwhile, the talk is still awesome!

Yay, w0z!

  1. I am a software guy, but I just got into hardware design for a project at work, and this talk was really nice.

  2. Oh, w0z. “I’ll try to go faster.” “No no no!” I remember when I talked to her at the OSHW summit she had said that she put in many, many hours rehearsing so she wouldn’t have to talk at a million miles an hour. I’m glad a pro film crew was there at this conference to record, as this is a really interesting talk that I definitely didn’t catch all the details of the first time.

  3. Loads of good information… She talks really fast. She mentions so many things that a lot of people don’t do. I know I have many projects that are unfinished because I forgot what did what. I am convinced that people marked with the title of genius are really just good note takers.
