What did Mom solder up for you this holiday? Check out this awesome post on Reddit. Monkeyhoo writes -

Celebrated Christmas early this year – this is what my mom made me. Pretty bad ass, my phone dies all the time and I rarely have my charger with me. (imgur.com)

That’s our MintyBoost kit and best of all, we’re starting to see the celebration of making things get out to more and more places. Thanks Nick!

  1. Most phone chargers are four feet long. My wife was on bedrest in the hospital and it wasn’t convenient to charge her phone because she could only get up for the bathroom and to get a shower. The length from the bed to the tray was about 4 feet but she couldn’t easily reach it to disconnect the phone and hold it to her ear. And there was another woman in the maternity ward who was going to miss Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. There are a lot premature babies born and the hospital has about 90 nurses in the NICU (Natal Intensive Care Unit) for one hospital so that means a hospital stay for women with premature babies. I now see the value of the Mintyboost!
