PART FINDER FRIDAY – Digital temperature sensors

Ic-Temp-Sensors

PART FINDER FRIDAY – Digital temperature sensors. Other than thermistors, you can also use digital temperature sensors. These calculate temperature based on the temperature changes of a transistor’s Beta. We have two favorites, the TMP36 – from Analog – which has an analog output of 50 mV per degree C, and the DS18B20 which is a snazzy 1-wire chip that uses a somewhat complex but powerful digital bus system that is noise-proof and can have multiple sensors connected together.

We carry both in the shop!
