The official press release came out today: the second annual National Robotics Week starts in a month! We’ll be celebrating April 9-17 with events around the US.*
2010 was our inaugural year, and we had over 50 affiliated events in 21 states, DC and Puerto Rico, with over 46,000 people participating. Many thanks to Adafruit for being an early supporter last year! This year we have over 40 events scheduled so far, which means we’re well on our way to smashing last year’s numbers.
And this is where you come in: We’d like to invite all of you to get involved: come out to a RoboWeek event or host your own. Are you a bot-builder? Consider entering our Instructables contest! We also have activities for K-12 students.
You can stay up to date by visiting our Facebook page , following us on Twitter under @roboweek , or by checking out what’s trending under #roboweek.

* The astute among you will notice that technically it’s longer than a week. We basically grabbed the second full week in April plus the weekends on either side…but “National Robotics Week and Two Days” doesn’t have the same ring to it.
Edited 3/10 to fix contest link.
