Adafruit company uniform – LED belt!

This belt we made debuted during “Ask an Engineer” – it uses 1 meter of our Digital RGB LED waterproof flexi-strip, an Atmega32u4 Breakout Board+, Lithium Ion Polymer Battery and a USB LiIon/LiPoly charger.

  1. how were you able to address each of the leds individually? I thought you could only turn on the lights in this strip en masse.

  3. Can you measure the battery voltage & total current draw for this LED belt (I assume it is a full meter strip)? This real world example would be useful (in addition to the 120mA@5V per segment spec listed on the product page). Thanks!

  5. Any chance we can see a tutorial on this? I want to make a couple of these belts for my daughters and it would be nice to see specifics on the BOM and assembly instructions.

    Thanks!
