Update: This is their second pick and place machine! Chris and gang from DIY Drones have a pick and place machine (same as ours Manncorp MDC7722-FV) – so we’ve added them to the pick-and-place twitter list. There are now 3-4 companies doing open source hardware and using the same machine!

This is turning into a cult. We need to develop some sort of MDC7722-FV secret handshake or something. Limor can be the high priestess, Phil can handle the propoganda (err … PR), Akiba over at FreakLabs can be in charge of indoctrinating the new recruits (“Tired of other geeks laughing at your tweezers … get a pick and place and no one will even doubt your otaku-cred again!”). Maybe we can develop a $100 ‘buy your own pick and place machine’ pyramid scheme? That plus membership fees should bring in a steady supply on new 8mm reels for everyone.
When does the pick and place badge come out, by the way?
