Agree! CHDK is awesome. They have a flickr pool @ http://www.flickr.com/groups/chdk/ showing some of the types of photos you can take. Pretty cool stuff. You probably want to check out your model number @ http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ to see if your camera is supported by a non-beta version of the software, as some of the betas are a bit buggy. If you do run into a bug, the firmware is not permanent – you have to load it each time, which, using a camera trick, you can arbitrarily turn on – so at worse, if you’re away from your computer, you can use the “regular” firmware on your CPU, and then re-flash when you get back home. Note that this firmware is *only* for the point & shoot variety, not the dSLR cameras that Cannon sells.
