  1. Why does California get all the good stuff? I miss living in California :(

  2. This is absolutely great news for people in the SF East Bay. There is a current TechShop located in the South Bay in Menlo Park, which makes it easily accesible for Silicon Valley, harder to get to from other locations. The accessibility by BART and public transportation is a clear winner.

  3. California’s big, jack ;-)

I’ve scanned for interesting places a reasonable distances from OC … but I guess on the meta level the interesting thing is that this trend is still getting trendier.

I try to puzzle out how much of this is hobby-work, to be put away after a time, and how much will stick and lead to change and innovation. I don’t think the cycles will be quite as dramatic as in Cory Doctorow’s Maker’s book … but there could be some interesting twists here.

  4. :O omg
    this is exciting :D :D :D :D
