I just love Dr. John Cohn!
I have met him in a conference in Seattle in 2008 and loved his way of motivating kids into science!

Just in case there’s anyone here who DIDN’T see John Cohn and his friends in The Colony on Discovery last year… go get the DVD. Some bits were anti-climactic, some were a bit overly dramatic, but the electrical and mechanical engineering of everything from showers to solar panels and water purification was pure genius.
Almost as terrible as these: http://www.ti.com/corp/docs/landing/thank-an-engineer/index.htm

What was that thing he was spinning around that was shooting sparks?
Comment by John Stoner — January 25, 2010 @ 7:04 pm
@10 Looked like a pair of sparklers on a string.
