This site is super handy (pat2pdf) you can get a patent sent to you via PDF instead of a staring at a bunch of TIFFs!

  1. I usually use google patent search: http://www.google.com/patent

    It returns results in pdf as well.

  4. Or use this handy script, which essentially does the same.

    The images from the USPTO are usually much better resolution than PDFs from Google.
    We also used them in this project: Perpetual Storytelling Apparatus http://storyteller.allesblinkt.com
