who will be the first do come up with a DIY “Optimus” keyboard? (And: will it be cheaper than the original? The lowest bulk price seems to be 37.5EUR, thats still >5000 EUR for a normal keyboard)

I have an article in a Circuit Cellar that’s, oh, 8 or 9 years old featuring the forerunner of this device, which was an LCD based module. Super cool update- I wonder if it’s moderately backwards compatible?

Another cool control I’d love to get my hands on are these knobs used in Euphonix audio control boards:

The picture doesn’t show it, but in addition to the blinkies around the dial, the center lights up with an RGB LED.
