11 year old kids make “mouse alert system”

Marc @ MAKE writes…

I absolutely love this video posted by Jessica Wolpert. It’s (3) eleven-year-old girls working on an Arduino project. It looks like the final project is a “mouse alert system” that blinks the eyes of the cat when the mouse gets too close. I am so happy to see kids experimenting with electronics and micro-controllers…

  1. ELEVEN!? man I feel old. So I’m thinking that as a 31 year old I REALLY should be onto something more challenging than farting about with Arduinos! :)

  2. I think when I was 11, I was not dedicated enough to learn to program a microcontroller. I am amazed that we have 11-year-olds building something like this. At (almost) 29 my Arduino projects are still pretty basic… :p

    This is AMAZING!
